Level of care: Standard outpatient (clinic-based).

Routine therapy and support for adults seeking ongoing care without a higher level of intensity.

  • Comprehensive intake & individualized treatment planning
  • Evidence-based psychotherapy (CBT, solution-focused, trauma-informed where appropriate)
  • Care coordination and community referrals; collaboration with primary care/psychiatry as needed
  • Visit frequency set by clinical need (e.g., weekly or biweekly)

Best for: Individuals benefiting from regular therapy and goal-focused support.

Level of care: ASAM Level 2.1 – Intensive Outpatient Services.

Structured programming that’s more intensive than weekly therapy while allowing you to live at home.

  • Multiple days per week, several hours per day
  • Group therapy, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, and individual check-ins
  • Recovery planning, safety planning, and coordination with community supports
  • Step-up/step-down with PHP or standard outpatient as clinically indicated

Best for: Moderate symptom severity or relapse risk requiring frequent, structured care.

Level of care: ASAM Level 2.5 – Partial Hospitalization Services.

Day-program level treatment providing intensive, structured care while returning home each evening.

  • Full- or multi-hour daytime programming most weekdays
  • Interdisciplinary team with therapy, psychoeducation, medication coordination as appropriate
  • Daily goal setting, outcomes monitoring, and discharge/step-down planning
  • Integrated relapse prevention and recovery supports

Best for: High-acuity needs requiring near-daily support without overnight hospitalization.

Level of care: ASAM Level 1 – Outpatient Services.

Weekly or biweekly services focused on recovery skills, support, and relapse prevention while maintaining daily routines.

  • Individual and/or group counseling with evidence-based approaches (e.g., CBT, MI)
  • Recovery planning, coping skills, and community linkage (peer support, mutual aid)
  • Care coordination; referrals for medical/psychiatric evaluation and higher levels of care as needed
  • Urine drug screening and monitoring per program policy, when clinically appropriate

Best for: Early recovery or maintenance phase with stable supports.
